People always say that things don’t just happen overnight. They take preparation, and a lot of hard work. Well, Wordpress has proved all of those people wrong time and time again. If anyone can use Wordpress, then anyone should be able to develop themes for it. Well John, go ahead.

Well, for the small percentage of you named John that actually went of and attempted to make a Wordpress theme right now, you’re on the right track. For the rest of you, you just saved hours of hard work. Wordpress themes are something you can just jump right in to. It doesn’t take 10,000 tutorials to become a Wordpress theme developer, and trust me, no matter how many times you google …

Well, here it is. I think it’s kinda due for an update. Last theme kinda stunk, and I was trying to hard to make it look “Appleish” with making it look “Appleish”.
Anyway, onto the important stuff, right?
The Design
When I was sitting in the car on the way to my Granparents house for easter, I worded this entire post in my head, isn’t that cool?
Recently Marko wrote a post on ThemeForest about being inspired, but not copying. He said there is a thin line between inspiration and copying. He could not be more right. There are very few original ideas for web design around today. Most ideas are inspired by something else, or evolve from another idea. So everytime I’ve made …

Hey all, just wanted to say Happy Easter, or Merry Easter, or whatever it is.
A couple of you might’ve noticed I went awhile without posting. Well, I decided an apology gift was in order. So I busted my butt all today to get this new theme out. It’s called Deskpress and it’s very beautiful. Unforunately, the bulk of it was done today, so there is still some work to be done. I’ll get that done in the next couple days though, so no worries. Anyway, you’ll see a post later today with some more info on the new theme.
Ah Easter. This is a holiday I’ll remember for awhile. It’s the first Holiday VD celebrated, and it’s also the day V4 …

All of us web developers have our own folder for of sites in our favorites that we visit daily. We need these sites. They help teach us new skills, inspire us, or just kill time. I myself have a very long list of sites and resources I probably couldn’t live without. Or at least, life would be a lot harder without them.
Smashing Magazine
A site we all should know and love. If has a permanent place at the very top of most of our bookmarks. These guys over at smashing magizine are just plain awesome. They spew out content almost daily. And it’s not crappy little posts either. They’re thought out, and extremely useful posts. Smashing Magazine is a resource I …

Hey all. We all want to make money right? Well, if you don’t you should leave now.
The good ol’ envato network is an easy way to make money. They give you a 30% commission of sales for people your refer. So let’s say someone clicks your referral link, and then deposits $100 into their account on ThemeForest. Guess what? You just made $30. And for what? Putting up a link? Oooh, that’s difficult.
There is no catch whatsoever. There are plenty of sites that offer referral programs, but I personally think most of them are a ripoff. Other sites only pay you if you make at least $100. Well, envato will pay you no matter what. If you refer someone …
